What kind of projects do you work on?
I design and build modern, high-performing websites and web applications that combine strong visuals, clean code, and a smooth user experience. My experience covers portfolio sites, business websites, dashboards, landing pages, full-stack applications, and digital products built to look professional, load quickly, and work reliably across devices.
Do you only work on frontend development?
No. I specialise in frontend development, but I also work across UX design and backend development. This allows me to build complete digital experiences, from the user interface through to APIs, databases, authentication, and deployment.
What technologies do you use?
I commonly work with Angular, React with Next.js, VueJS with Nuxt, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Tailwind CSS, SCSS, and modern deployment tools. The exact stack depends on the project requirements.
Can you help improve an existing website or application?
Yes. I can review, redesign, refactor, optimise, or extend existing websites and applications. This can include improving UI, fixing usability issues, enhancing performance, improving accessibility, or rebuilding parts of the frontend or backend.
Do you design as well as develop?
Yes. I combine development with UX and UI design thinking. I focus on creating interfaces that are visually polished, easy to use, responsive, accessible, and aligned with the purpose of the product.
Do you build responsive websites?
Yes. I build responsive interfaces that work across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. I focus on layouts, spacing, typography, navigation, and interactions that adapt properly to different screen sizes.
Do you consider accessibility when building websites?
Yes. Accessibility is part of my development approach. I consider semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, screen reader support, colour contrast, focus states, accessible forms, and inclusive user experiences.
Can you build backend functionality?
Yes. I can build backend features such as REST APIs, authentication, database structures, server-side logic, data validation, payment integrations, and secure application workflows.
Can you work with databases?
Yes. I work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra, SQL-Less, SQL to design database structures, create queries, manage relationships, handle data storage, and support backend application logic.
Do you optimise websites for performance?
Yes. I focus on fast load times, efficient components, image optimisation, code splitting, caching strategies, Core Web Vitals, and scalable frontend and backend performance.
Can you build SEO-friendly websites?
Yes. I build websites with SEO in mind, including clean structure, metadata, semantic HTML, fast performance, responsive layouts, and server-rendered or statically generated pages where appropriate.
Can you deploy websites and applications?
Yes. I can help deploy applications using modern hosting and server environments, including VPS setups, Node.js deployments, PM2, Nginx, SSL configuration, and platform-based deployment workflows.
Do you work on full-stack applications?
Yes. I can design and build full-stack applications that connect frontend interfaces, backend APIs, databases, authentication, and deployment into one working product.
How do you approach a new project?
I start by understanding the goal, users, required features, technical needs, and design direction. From there, I plan the structure, create the interface, build the functionality, test the experience, and refine the final product.
What makes your approach different?
I combine frontend engineering, UX design, backend development, accessibility, and performance thinking. This means I can look at a project from both a technical and user-focused perspective.
